Worth it's weight in GOLD, this incredibly informative and beautifully illustrated book will change any IKE enthusist into an instant expert. Kudos to Rob Ezerman, and the other members of the IKE GROUP for a 5-Star production. At times, I feel like I am reading a hybrid between a good Detective novel and a great History book, with a lot of good humor thrown in to keep thing light. Highly scientific at times,(which is a breath of fresh air in the coin world these days) and, supremely logical, this book will go down in History as one of the truly great Numismatic creations, that creates a new Paradigm of thought-structure, and, I'm sure proceeding Volumes will be as much of a joy to read, and re-read, as this one has been. Highest Recommendations!!!

A must have for any Ike collector or someone who wants to start collecting Ikes. The book is easy to read with many photos representing coins you should be looking for. I bought the book, read it and already cherried 3 varieties I didn't previously know about!!

An invaluable must have for anyone who wants to collect Ikes. Very easy reading and book tells you what to look for as far as varieties and then shows you. Can't get much simpler then that. Wish I had bought this sooner. Helped me cherry 1 die clash and still looking for more!!! Just a phenominal job!! Thanks to the Ike Group Founders or the Super 7 for their tireless and dedicated efforts on the book!!!!!

"Five Stars.
"The advanced collector of Eisenhower Dollars will find a treasure trove of information within. This exhaustive work not only focuses on variety types, it offers insights into the 'how' and 'why' behind the coins. Most importantly, it is essential for an understanding of the future direction of this field."

Reviewer Jeffrey P. LaPlante, The E-Sylum v14#46 November 6, 2011

“If you are really into error collecting and die varieties then you will want to get your hands on Collectible Ike Varieties Facts-Photos-Theories. . . If you want to find... More > out more information on metallurgy, tool and die making, and the whole minting process you will find a wealth of information in the Big book.”
“Chapter 25 is especially helpful for theories concerning annealing, planchet metallurgy, die hardening, and steel alloy composition. This is by far the most in depth discussion I have ever read on the subject” without attending formal training.”
“The amount of work that has gone into this volume over the years is simply amazing.”
“In Chapter 32 there is a review of the incomparable Del Romines theory on determining die states. There are many other chapters which required the painstaking research of United States Mint records, with discussions of behind the scenes decisions, and work processes.” < Less
