"GETS BETTER WITH EACH ISSUE" well organized, easy to read through, with loads of kick-ass dark, sexy and morbid stories, always with a warm welcome from the editor on her page. her interview with Corvus Corax was awesome (lucky her to have taken pics with them, lol)and her article on Eastern State Prison was pretty entertaining, especially the photos which show there are more than just us regular people walking around in there...kudos to the authors Jackie Coupe, kody Boye, Nickolaus P. and Charles Diggs for thier awesome storytelling.

"Re: GETS BETTER WITH EACH ISSUE"
Hey Dominic, you ready for the kicker with The Pattern of Diagnosis? That story is entirely true -- let's play fact or fiction here. You've seen the stories in there that are works of ficiton right --The Pattern of Diagnosis is a work of non-fiction originally appears on my own mag.

I am a veteran to underground horror and published a few anthologies of my own, I helm Tabloid Purposes. The Pattern of Diagnosis is introducing her crowd to a style of story telling more akin to Richard Matheson and Edgar Allan Poe, no sex scenes -- just me. I am putting myself out there by writing non-fiction, and that was a few of the true stories I... More > wrote. I am all about momentum when I write fiction, but when I do non-fiction it is more shocking because I am bringing the reader more into my dark world.

I am an outsider among that magazine. I asked Cinsearae what kind of things
she was looking for as in terms of non-fiction, she saw my book I was writing (I have a controversial take on horror, and it's one that made me quite infamous. The style of horror I pen is an older style, older voice. It predates Stephen King in approach and influence.) I write Gothic Horror in the vein of HPL normally, and I will write Science Fiction too. My work's been in circulation for 10 years online and almost four years in the print medium. My personal website is now ten years old, establishing in 1997..

Coming from that Christian angle originally, it will show up in my more violent horror stories in the catalog. I've written a broad range of styles but I would never write erotic horror, it was never my style of fiction. I fell into the Gothic by accident just by the way I did the delivery of my horror works.

Having most of my Gothic influences were more from H. P. Lovecraft, Richard Matheson, and Stephen King then equally influenced by Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Charles Beaumont, and Ray Bradbury, it's very easy to see where it comes from. The Pattern of Diagnosis in style was more Rod Serling, my non-fiction scares people more than my fiction does but I got published with both.I originally worked with authors on the House of Pain so I studied the more intense range, and been writing the more intense faster pace style of horror. I was trying my hand at writing real things for a long time. There is a story I wrote on Withersin 1.1 too if you're interested. I have a cynical delivery, yet inviting enough to show that I am not hiding behind any black make up, pleater pants, or big clunky boots (I don't need any gimmicks like that.) I am just a guy who has a blue collar take on the world, struggles with the concept of a God that allows people to have a mental illness or suffers with illness in general. I am often the guy who is in a black pocket t-shirt, loose jeans, and basketball shoes or construction boots requesting BLACK SABBATH in a Goth club.

Erotic isn't even a suitable description for my work -- I don't even have any sex scenes in my work. Pattern of Diagnosis has something more akin to Michael Crichton, being from the Chicago area I wanted to show something a lot darker than the fiction being published out there. In turns the story is a lot darker than HPL. The Pattern Of Diagnosis is one of those stories I will say what if H.P. Lovecraft did creative nonfiction. This is as dark as some of my fiction catalog is on http://www.writingsfromthegrave.com.
