When Monsignor Benson penned "The Lord
of the World" many devout people felt very
discouraged at what he felt was coming.
He wrote "Dawn of All" to express that man
is not predetermined, that he in fact has a
choice to cooperate with grace and make for
a bright future.
We, however, have the benefit of hindsight,
and in light of what the Holy Father, Pope
Benedict XVI has said about the current
state of the world, we can see that man has
chosen to follow the path he penned in "The
Lord of the World".
