Description:
Earthy Poetry is the third in a series of poetic works generally exploring the sexual man as he is seen and heard by the poet, Frank Bond Beaumier. Beaumier has been called one of the most earthy writers of prose and poetry on the American literary scene. He is the author of several books concerned with philosophy in the sexual animal and life in urban America.
Review:
This is a wonderful poetry book. The anthology has a wide range of very readable verses. There is... More > something special for everyone in this banquet of poetical celebration. It lives up to its title, raring to get a head start in the sure race to glory in literature’s immortality.

What is poetry? What makes good poetry? There is a long foreword to rationalize the 5 W’s of poetry. This alone is worth its weight in print.

Beaumier is a heavyweight poet. His verses carry punch in delivery, with contemporary witticisms. He lives his life in poetry. Readers will learn how each and every episode in life can be portrayed in verse and become more proficient writers in this enriched volume.

Women feature prominently in Beaumier’s poetry. However, his personal stance is never eclipsed. The poet writer knows himself and his position is etched forever in the halls of fame, in his own right and as a renaissance of the former literature great, Henry Miller.

Beaumier deserves applause as one of the very few poets who can tell a complete story in a poem. This book is a complete story in itself and makes a wonderful independent volume in the poet’s trilogy of poetical works.
