The heroes and heroines who range from detective working for the Falcon’s Bend police department to their significant others/spouses are trying to have a normal family life in spite of the murders and mysteries that keep interrupting their vacations, family plans. My favorite [story] is “Retribution” because the suspense is built nicely. Lisa places herself in danger by going alone to talk to a dangerously suspicious man who has lied about his name and his relationship to the children. Even after she is abducted and placed in a car trunk, she is able to help free herself and the two children and to help solve the missing person case.
