Flash Fiction Friday is a monthly radio program aired on WUWM's Lake Effect in Milwaukee, WI. Each month host Robert Vaughan selects local writers who come in, do a quick flash interview and read their flash fiction piece on the air. Then, Robert reads a national writer's piece and ties the two together with a theme that he discusses with his co-host, Stephanie Lecci. After doing this every month in 2011, Vaughan decided to create an anthology to honor the writers who shared their work on the radio program. Writers include Meg Tuite, Sheldon Lee Compton, Susan Gibb, Len Kuntz, Julie Innis, Sam Rasnake, Susan Tepper, Joani Reese, Christopher Allen, Sara Lippmann and many more.

An excellent collection of wonderful imagination. Also, a beautiful cover painted by the talented editor himself Robert Vaughan. It is bound to stand the test of time!
This outstanding collection brings to a reader all of the fascinating stories that Robert and Stephanie brought us in 2011. I feel so fortunate that I can now read them again and again. What a great idea this is, and I hope you do this every year for many more to come.
Robert Vaughan is an innovative writer who does it all -- fiction, plays, poetry, flash -- and does it well. It's no surprise that he has compiled work from such an accomplished group of writers. This collection is for those who appreciate writing that is imaginative and fresh. Writing that sparkles and surprises. Writing that will speak to you. If you missed hearing these pieces on his show, "Flash Fiction Fridays" you're in luck -- they're all in this one lovely book. And for those who have already heard these stories on air, you now have the pleasure of reading them again and again.
Such an impressive collection of current short fiction writers. How Robert Vaughan has assembled them all in one gorgeous book is really a work of art, literally. This is too good to pass up! I can't wait to read this anthology, and also hear the stories that Robert and Stephanie select for Flash Fiction Friday in 2012.
