I downloaded the e-book, and after some perusal I have to say that this book is a great idea. It captures the spirit of the Steampunk movement in a flawless and fun way. The recipe's vary in quality, but the pictures and theme of the collection are what makes it a winner. I can see room for a few improvements. It would be nice to have the ingredients listed in bold, so as to immediately draw attention to what would be needed for each recipe. Also, some reformatting to create a uniform format from recipe to recipe would be nice, but despite these suggestions I am still giving this project five stars, because I think this is one of the most creative publications I've seen in a while. It has the spirit of a great collaboration, and a heart powered by steam. What more could one want? If a paid version of the download is made available for a reasonable price I would gladly purchase.

"Great book, lots of varied recipes"
This little cookbook is great. I remember the thread on the Brass Goggles forum and even contributed a recipe myself.

I've gone through it, checking off all the recipes I want to try and almost the whole book is checked. It's quite varied, from ElShoggotho's mead recipe (which I remember him bragging about on Brass Goggles when it worked!) to Miss Boo Dreadful's grilled tomato, mozzarella and basil sandwich, and I definitely want to try the chocolate toffee chip cookies! There are lots of familiar recipes (like chili that sounds amazing) but also lots of unique and exotic dishes (like Hudson Bay Bread and Pumpkin Penne) that I may make part... More > of my family tradition!
there's also a lot of great little extras, like a faux absinthe recipe, lavender sugar, a chimichurri recipe and English tea cakes...this book sort of embodies steampunk- everybody brings something of their own to the table!

So, steampunk or not, I think you'll really enjoy this! there really is something for everyone's tastes.
