I have searched all over creation for a book that was simple enough for me to understand. I will be 78 in a few weeks and the old brain doesn't work the same as it used to. I find the book simple to read and comprehend. I know it might be a little late for me to learn classical piano but you never know... plus I'm having a blast. I had a small problem trying to download some of Rachel's new DVD's(my fault) and it was solved very quickly. She really cares. I am usually very impatient but this book makes you take your time. Highly recommended. Jim Moore Glenville, NY

I scoured the selections of piano instruction books on Amazon.com and all of the local music stores. What I found was nearly every book had a mechanical, dry approach to the CRAFT of learning to play the piano. Fundamental Keys, however, was different. When you read and learn Rachel's book, it is like receiving personal instruction from a teacher inside their living room. Maybe that's because this book was crafted exactly in this manner - Rachel approaches her craft from the perspective of a teacher, with an emphasis on the progress of the student - a craft that she has honed over years teaching piano to people of all ages and skill levels. The lessons build upon the progress of the student and inspire confidence. When compared to other books on the market, none had the personal touch and feel of Fundamental Keys. This has been the best book for me in my quest to learn piano, and I highly recommend it to all who have the same goal.

Recently, I had a chance to look through this piano method book. I am amazed to find how ingenious the method is. This book is a perfect representation of the smartest way to approach the difficult task of learning piano playing. I find this book comprehensive yet very easy to follow. Personally, I've looked through many method books in the past, but I think this is by far the most organized and logical(yet intuitive) piano method book. I wish this book was available when my child was learning piano.

If you want to learn the basics of playing the piano like I did, Fundamental Keys is unquestionably the method for you. After carefully following the steps and lessons presented in the beginning of the method I found myself actually playing the piano and it’s going great! I really never thought I could do it, but I am, and I give this method most of the credit. The book is clean and the concepts in it are straightforward and easily understood. I’m still in beginning sections of the method because of my own time constraints, but I truly believe I made it this far because of the way the method teaches the theories quickly and concisely. Like I said, if you want to learn how to play the piano, I highly recommend you pick up a copy of Fundamental Keys. Kevin K

I am 35 years old and never played piano before. I did not want to start with the wrong piano method, one not adapted for 'older' learners and more focused for youngsters around 7 years of age. This method is amazing. It is well explained and not threatening at all. Also, as opposed to be introduced to piano with pop and folk songs, you feel like you are playing 'real' classical pieces with 'Fundamental Keys'. Its level of difficulty increases gradually and even though each lesson presents a new challenge, it is always with joy that you learn. My family was in town a few weeks ago, and much to their surprise, I was able to play a few beautiful pieces for them, even though I only started with my first lesson 3 months prior. I highly recommend 'Fundamental Keys'. Brigitte V.
