If you've experienced the pains of needing that additional guitar, amp or effects gizmo, then you too know what GAS is all about! The author of this book walks you through all the symptoms with great humor and witty insights - a fun read and filled with anecdotes you'll likely relate to if your a fan of guitars and music gear. Mr. Wright's proceeds also go to a great cause so at least this purchase might help more than just your GAS pains ;)

This easily read, well-written text on guitar collecting fever is a revealing and very humorous glimpse of the spectrum of this disorder. It is a MUST READ for anyone who has even just wandered around a guitar store in a slight daze, while the afflicted who read it will feel a sense of arrival, a tale of kindred souls and fellow sufferers. I am still recovering from the after-effects of sore ribs and facial muscles, after laughing so hard. I was unable to put this book down, and it was easily read in an evening. Absolutely terrific release from this first-time author, and looking forward to his sequel(s)....and a PERFECT gift for the holidays.

Buy It Buy It Buy it!!!!! Can you remember as a kid how bad you wanted that first guitar? Well, the proceeds from this book go to buying nice playable guitars for young musicans that can't afford a good axe. Jay, you da man! Oh and the book ain't bad either :))

When I saw this book I knew I had to get it for my brother, who I think has a pretty bad case. (13 guitars IS a lot, right?) I gave it to him for Christmas. He read it in one sitting and laughed all the way through.
Kudos to Mr. Wright for helping family members & sufferers alike deal with this affliction.
