"Thought Provoking" Goetic Demonolatry, by Ellen Purswell is an inspiring work on Demonolatry. The text prooves Honor and Love for the demons are the virutous keys in Demonolatry. While not long-winded, the author points out the variable elemental composistions of the Goetic demons, and her own insights into the demons is valuable.

"I Love It!"
It's a short tome - about 54 pages, but 54 pages that changed the way I think about Goetia and ritual work in general. When Ellen and I first started this project I was unsure what she'd come up with. To be honest, I was expecting another ceremonial magick book that would either bore me to tears or simply repeat all the information already out there.

The book took a grand detour however, and proved to me to be valuable for any demonolator, satanist, or ANYONE doing ritual work of any sort. It turned out to be a book about why she chose goetia, how to use goetia (like any other hierarchy - imagine that!) AND a great primer on creative ritual working that will change... More > the way people think about ritual. I dare a ceremonial magician to read this and leave the book with the same view of ritual magick.

I'll drop a hint of what you're in for -- there is a reason prepared ritual does not work for everyone and why some rites are more powerful over others. There's also some great information about how magick works and why some people can't be healed or cursed through ritual work! Purswell really encourages the magician to explore and learn on their own.

She also added a great section on the courtesies and why they were important. She said it so much more eloquently than I ever could have.

While admitedly this book seems thin on the surface, there really is a lot of information here. I really believe the adept might even benefit more from it than the beginner because the wealth of information is more evident to someone who is well versed in magick whereas the beginner might not get it right away. For beginners, I suggest Modern Demonolatry and Lessons in Demonolatry in order for this book to be better understood and to fall into the proper context.

A++++ -- Highly recommended.

Being new to Demonolatry, it was nice to see a book written specifically for the Goetic Hierarchy. I plan on reading all that DB publishing has to offer. Thanks to Ellen for sharing her knowledge.
