"This book has found a home on my breakfast table" Golden Ashtray feels like more than a comic book. It's a work in progress, an experiment, a cure for the man who wishes Calvin and Hobbes was still in print. The drawings are sometimes crude and sometimes utterly poignant. It all depends on the mood of its author, Pirooz Kalayeh, during that day or week.

You really feel like you're let inside the childlike mind of the author, dragged through the downs and catapulted through the ups of living in Hollywood, CA. This is a book I will give to my kids (when they are old enough) and say, "See, this guy's having fun with it. Just go nuts!"

"loop de loop" This book is a flower, a dream of destiny. It is the
smell of citrus, sharp and edgy, calling to you in
your sleep, turning you in circles with the truth as
you look back from the moon. Warm in its center,
Golden Ashtray is a universal language as simple as an
open hand. Take a seat and jump into an ocean.
