‘Green City’ is an art project composed of mixed media paintings, collage, prints, photography and 'faux installation. The project critiques the lifestyle, relationship and contradiction of nature and technology in ATTEMPT to be green in NYC. Furthermore, it illustrates the urgency to reverse industrialization, re-create nature and connect with natural energy sources. From the limitations of my New York studio apartment, I utilized my creativity and imagination to present a visual outlook on our future; the possibility of this re-creation and the re-percussions of its failure. The small accessible progressive steps vs. the seemingly far-fetched re-creation & re-construction of New York City creates a dualism of realism and Cyber Punk fiction. This catalogue is a presentation of my photographs, illustrations and journal entries that document the evolution and development of my ‘Green City.’
