"Kim's story is moving -- and practical (review by Susan K. Perry)" I just downloaded and immediately read Kim's story, and I want to say it was one of the most practical, specific, helpful pieces of writing I've ever read about a woman's breast cancer struggle. I learned that not only head hair falls out with chemo treatment, but ALL hair may fall out, including nose hair. More importantly, Kim explained the importance of choosing the best doctor available, and that various doctors advise very different strategies for treating the cancer. By the end, the reader is convinced (if she wasn't before) that universal health insurance is an absolute necessity. No one should have to confront severe illness without the funds to get good treatment.
