‘Tis the Season and Escher Smallwater can’t seem to find his Christmas spirit. He’s tried everything: Christmas specials and movies, holiday decorations and songs—large amounts of alcohol. Nothing seems to work, and the holiday season is looming like a dental appointment. Time is running out.
As Escher stumbles through the holidays, half-stoned and unemployed, he finds himself dealing with an overdose of commercialism and the retail consumer nightmare of Christmas at the mall, rejection from the elves at Macy’s department store, a friend who hates everything to do with the holidays, fraud and a homeless man named Moses.
All this and Christmas Eve with the fam.
A continuation of the novel “Rorschach’s Ribs”, “Holidaze” is a short story that reunites us with Escher Smallwater and his friends Shitz, Ted and Phil as they search for a little holiday spirit with their own brand of sarcastic, social commentary.
