"Systems Thinking and Your Life"

It was such a sublime joy to read Joyce’s “How to Have What You REALLY Want.” In my understanding, her book seamlessly interweaves systems thinking with personal life. In few pages it offers a detailed map for the living of a successful life--from imagination to conceptualization to articulation to implementation to realization.

It not only gives a realistic map for flourishing in life but also makes a person think out loud comprehensively enough to see the personal and the social and their interaction in a much clear light. Going through the workbook step by step, level by level, one can see the interconnections... More > between life and mind and success. She also integrates insights from quantum physics, neuroscience and great literature and philosophy which make the book not just a great pleasure to read but a treasure trove of verified wisdom. Joyce’s passion to make a positive difference in people’s lives is a blessing to us all.

"How to Have What You Really Want delivers!" “How to Have What You Really Want” by Joyce Shafer is a guide and workbook in the very best sense. She sets out a unique goal setting and attaining strategy that is realistic, practical, easy to understand and to use immediately. Each step builds on the previous one in an orderly, logical way. It differs from other goal setting guides in that she addresses some deeper issues that are not always addressed like your self-talk, the power of choosing and focusing on asking the right questions rather than simply trying to find answers. I highly recommend this book. It is an easy read, but more than that, it is effective in moving you from where you are to where you want to go.

"A Non-Fan of Workbooks Gives This One a Thumbs-Up!" I am not a fan of workbooks. I have seen too many of them filled with nothing but a few questions and hundreds of lines. Joyce Shafer’s workbook has rich content. After reading the workbook and actually completing the exercises she provides, I found that her book is not a typical workbook, but a guide---a guide to who I am and a guide for me. Basically, this guide is my life map---where I was, am, and where I am going to arrive. I would highly recommend this guide to all, regardless of where you are in life. As we all know, we sometimes get off direction. Let this book put you back on your map of life.
