Wonderful book for translators and company owners of any level of experience. Corinne really breaks down the information in an easy-to-read manner and mentions practical approaches to most any situation in the industry. Whether you're a freelancer or business owner, this book is nice to have on hand as a long-term reference, especially when you need that outside advice on the small stuff!

Corine's book is a must for startup translators and a GREAT aid for anyone (even experienced pros) who embrace translation as a profession. An easy to use companion that's deals with subjects usually not taught in translation schools (nor any Arts and Letters sylabuses for that matter): those related to the art of keeping body and soul together.

As a twenty-year veteran in this industry, I was delighted to hear that a second edition of this must-have volume was coming out. Corinne really knows her stuff: the book covers every aspect of entering the industry, and her writing style is a joy to read. As an educator of translators for over a decade, it's the book I wish I'd written. And what's more, even this old dog came away with a few new tricks. Highly recommended for those new to the industry as well as those currently working in it.
