for me, reading this book was like having cancer all over again while watching a hilarious comedian do standup. it was hilarity and pain and the author's spirit ties everything together beautifully. what could have been a completely disconnected emotional freeway pileup was actually a wonderfuly written, intelligent story. reading this and laughing and crying was better than any therapist i could ever have (cheaper too :P). i feel like a new person. anyone who has been or seen someone affected by cancer should read this book. it's so good!
