This photographic book documents the lives of people living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and/or Fibromyalgia in the U.K.
The book is the result of working collaboratively with approx. 40 U.K. sufferers of varying degrees of illness. It examines the impact on their lives, family, and friends, as well as their careers, finances, and the difficulties in obtaining benefits and the practical support needed to be able to lead their lives.
The book is a compendium of photographic images, made images, biographies, poetry, written passages, and documentary evidence - much of which is written by the sufferers in their own words.
This is the first CFS/FMS book in the U.K. that allows the sufferers to use their own words, to have their own voices. It is also the first to put faces to the hidden suffering that affects so many people in the U.K.
