The description of this item is incorrect. The English translation is not the well-known Douay-Rheims. It does not correspond to any translation I am familiar with. Compare for example, Matthew Chapter 1, verse 18. Here it is in the Douay-Rheims: "Now the generation of Christ was in this wise. When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost." Compare that to the contents of the Interlinear Latin-English New Testament: "Now the procreation of the Christ occurred in this way. After his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they lived together, she was found to have conceived in her womb by the Holy Spirit." Clearly they are not the same. They are not even similar. I sent a message to the author (In Rebus) but he has not responded.

The current edition has been updated using the Catholic Public Domain translation of the Bible. The Latin verses are very prominent, while the verse by verse English translation is given in italics and in smaller type. As a result, the Latin text flows without interruption, but the translations are immediately accessible whenever the reader gets stuck. An excellent way to start reading the Latin Bible, no matter what level of confidence you have in your Latin.
