Interview with Autism is the memoir of a young woman diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. It goes inside the mind of one person with autism by answering 40 common questions that parents, teachers, and friends of people with autism have about ASDs.
I read this book from cover to cover in one afternoon, unable to put it down. It is one young woman's thoughtful and honest account of her personal struggle with self, family, and friends as she accepts her diagnosis and learns to live with autism. Interview with Autism is a valuable resource for anyone wanting to better understand the complicated world of those dealing with autistic spectrum disorders. I highly recomend this book.
Lydia does a terrific job explaining what it is like to live with autism using easy to understand language. The book is written from the standpoint of someone who actually lives day in and day out dealing with the struggles of autism, not from the viewpoint of some expert clinician. I would highly recommend purchasing this book.
This book is a thoughtful and insightful look into the ups and downs and challenges in the life of a young woman with autism. Lydia Wayman gets into the heart and soul of what autism is, and provides a valuable resource for everyone who knows or works with anyone on the autistic spectrum. This will help you understand what it is like to be autistic. The book is in a question and answer format, and Wayman uses her own life experiences to answer questions about what life is like living with autism. I highly recommend this book.
