"Amazing!"
I first encountered Eric Durchholz' talent when I read his first novel "The Promise of Eden". There, he interwove a coming of age story, a ghost story and a rather ambitious science fiction epic into a seemless narative.

In "Inversion", Eric Durchholz indulges in mature themes, exploring the popular 'end times' craze begun with the "Left Behind" series. Mr. Durchholz both analyzes and parodies this source material, far exceeding it in writing quality and plot. This beginning to the announced trilogy sets the stage for a story of epic proportions by laying the groundwork for an extensive, self contained mythos. The characters are incredibly realistic, spout great dialog,... More > and fill the literary air with sexual tension that is arousing, but does not overwhelm the story as a whole.

I found this book thoroughly enjoyable. It is well paced to hold your interest througout while giving the perfect amount of exposition to keep you informed without giving away any surprises or making the plot drag. < Less
