"Solves it's purpose" I went through the sample chapter of this book.
I liked the standard of questions (and answers). It helps you to refresh your concept on the topic if you have hands on them, it helps you more if you don't had the chance to have hands on. There is no substitue to experience, so it gives you the required head start needed....and...that matters...

One more thing, the contents of the material gave me an impression that it covers a wider spectrum..(the areas you are bound to work if you are in J2EE domain) like open source successful products (e. Struts/hibernate/Spring...) and at the same time basic understanding of perfromance evaluations/best practises/design Pattern(s).

I am sure every body has read (and worked) most of the stuffs, but to have it available at a single place is just great...

Just go for it !!!!

Having gone through the book, I have to say that I am really impressed with the book as a whole. It covers key concepts, stating the basics and fundamentals clearly. Its well updated including EJB 3.0, popular frameworks such as Hibernate, Struts and touching upon latest versions of JDK as well whereever needed. The book is well organised and covers all typical questions of a Java/J2EE interview. Most of the time we do know the questions and the standard answers, but a person reading this book would be able to express a clear answer which would make the person taking the interview believe that the candidate is a clearly above the mark. This book should be equally useful to interview takers as it is to job applicants.

Great compilation and cross-reference material. Any plans to release a newer edition?

"No PDF!!!!!" Is the one thing I hate about this book.... Ive read the 200+ Q/A book and it has helped on many occasions. Great for brushing up tech notes before an interview.
