"(in) love (with) this book!" I'm in the process of reading this outstanding book.   OK, I'm not just reading it... I'm totally obsessed with it.  I take it everywhere... bathroom, office, kitchen, outdoors.  It's my new buddy.

Kurt's book has convinced me that a stubborn guy like me has no choice but to go the one-off route. The book has given me more than some confidence to even consider such an undertaking.  And, like Kurt describes early in the text, there just doesn't seem to be a perfect car out there for picky folks in either production or kit form.

Build a car that doesn't suck in some way! Get this book!!

"color not worth the substantial cost" I purchased the color version hoping to avoid 'buyers remorse' for getting the black and white. That took some serious rationalization given the cost difference. My copy arrived with a plain [blank except for title across the top] cover, not the cover shown, so it looks kind of home-printed. I have to say that for well over double the cost I am disappointed that I spent so much extra. The text content is very good and I have no criticism of the book itself, in fact it is an excellent book and the only comprehensive one of its kind that I have found, however I would not recommend the color version.

3 stars only for the excessive cost of color.
