Kalki Helaku is very different. More different than your typical young teenage boy. Not only is he gay, but also an albino skater boy. He struggles to maintain a positive self identity, even as his father plots to send him to an religious institution designed to change people's sexuality. It's at the center that he falls in love with a curious Russian kid a bit younger named Mishka. Together, they set out to escape from the pastors, counselors, and therapists who seem to have all the wrong intentions in mind. Will the pair of young lovers survive in an environment that is set on changing who they are and what they believe? Will they find a way to leave the horrors of New Horizons for Daily Living behind? Kalki's best trick may not come riding on a deck, but by staying true to the person he knows he is. No matter the circumstances may be wrought with danger or supercharged with love.
