"A BEAUTIFUL MAN WHO WRITES WITH ALL HIS SENSES" GOPAL is one of just a handful of LULU poets whose work I always make it a point to look at on a daily basis when I am posting some new work of my own on THE POETRY CORNER. His work there (as well as here) is enlightening and magical, indeed. He sees The World as it really is and as it could be with every one of his senses and you will be able to see Mother Earth this way too simply by reading and meditating on his poetic words which are lovely and powerful, indeed. You will use senses that may have been sleeping for a long, long time - or perhaps NEVER EVEN knew that you had when you open up this wonderful book of Gopal's Images and Dreams, Hopes & Prayers, & Spirtual Observations, etc. Need I say more? I would give this book 4 thumbs up But sadly I only had three!
Love & Peace & Much success with your poetry, G!
Earl.

"Artistic, Skillful, Provocative; Light and Shadows" Once again author Gopal Lahiri has produced the much awaited "Light and Shadows", a further reflection of this gifted writer's brilliant works.

Gopal Lahiri presents another compilation of complex and extraordinary poetic verse. His writing provokes and challenges the mind to explore new destiny, to see the world through the eyes of a treasured poet who has embraced his craft with creative talent and a remarkable illustrative technique that will be endeared for years to come.

Visionary, evocative, emotional. This author's poetry leads his devoted reading audience on yet another remarkable journey.

"I am stunned"
This is of the highest of the highest quality, I am stunned ( and envious! ) So much so I am about to buy a download, I wish it was the book itself, but, impoverished writers and all that. All verses are of great, great quality, but the ones with the economic usage, two lines, gap, one line,
( is this Haiku, Gopal? ), are awe inspiring. Now this does not mean every poem will make literal sense to one and all, they probably won't, but this man proves that even when readers are left wondering the meaning to the final deeply hidden 'onion skin', they can still revel in the wonderful seemingly orphaned symbolism. This was the case for me with much of the first half of the... More > preview, but then nearer the end, the final verses retained their stunning beauty yet came attached with a litte more of the literal. If I could sell up and move, Gopal, it would be next door to you so I can sip cocktails all day in the sun, and burgle your work on disk at night, and then make a fortune. Great, great stuff, and I sincerely hope our friend Owa reads your book as well, you'll send him to Heaven. ( 'though not literally! )
