"A fantastic read!" I couldn't put the book down. The characters were so real, I would think about them long after reading the book. This light-hearted, humorous novel is exactly what one needs after a hectic day. A must read if you're a basketball fan.

"Lights out!" As an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan, this book was a lovely read. I found myself in Sars Banks' shoes, or at least wishing so. It translated effortlessly beyond the basketball storyline. As a 20something recent college graduate, Banks is trying to find her place and that means friendships, carreer, and romance. The ups and downs of the central relationship of Jake and Sara is so palpable, that you feel like either of them at certain points. I look forward to the sequel.

"Great read!" If you're a Laker fan and are looking for a great book to read, then get this one! From the start, the author grabs your attention and never lets go. As you read the book, you'll constantly wonder what the next chapter has in store for you, and you'll never be disappointed. Well, actually, I was disappointed by one thing--that the book had to end. I absolutely loved reading Lights Out, Los Angeles by Rachel Bird, and I can't wait for the next installment, Lights On, Los Angeles.

"The best book I've ever read or been read" This is by far one of the most entertaining books I have ever come across. OK so I might be a little bias, the extremely talented young writer Rachel also happens to be my very beautiful wife. I had the pleasure of basically being the guinea pig for the book. In this case being the guinea pig was actually a lot of fun, probably because the nature of the book is so fun. If you are a pro basketball fan you will definitely enjoy some of the player and team names, a few of them I got to pick. If you are not a basketball fan you will be by the time you finish reading this fantastic book. If you are considering reading this book do it, you'll love it!
And don't forget to buy a copy for a friend.

"What a fun read!" I'm a guy and not usually into the romantic comedy stuff, but Rachel has really put just the right mix of sports, romance and just plain fun into her debut novel. I find myself recommending this book to all my friends and haven't heard anything but positive reviews after they read it.

Keep up the great work, Rachel - I can't wait to read the sequel!
