This book is highly recommended for any research library, seminaries, and Bible collectors. It describes in detail most of the Catholic English Bibles up to when this book was first published in 1861. It is setup in the same manner as the Bible bibliographies done by Margret Hills' book published in 1962 and that done by A.S. Herbert in 1968. All three of these books are very important for the above end users. However, the most important of all is the book, "Catalogue of English Bible Translations; A Classified Bibliography of Versions and Editions Including Books, Parts, and Old and New Testament Apocrypha and Apocryphal Books." Westport, Connecticut: Greenwood Press, 1991.(Still in print) This book contains approx 5 times the number of different English Bibles and parts thereof than the above three books put together.
