An wonderful collection of essays on life, love, death, applied spirituality, and our place in the Universe. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a pre-published edition, and every person I let borrow it, begged me to get them their own copy so they could share with their loved ones! Highly recommend!!!

I've just placed my order for my 4th copy, which is for a rebellious and somewhat troubled 13 year old girl who I think will connect with Halcyon's dual nature as both a badass and a bodhisattva. I am buying her this book as an intervention of sorts, relying on Halcyon's wisdom to set her on a more positive, constructive path while still remaining true to herself.

I think Halcyon is uniquely qualified to deliver this message, not just to an emerging teenager but to anyone wanting to learn how to live their life by being the happiest version of themselves. Halcyon's delivery is clever, using terms and concepts relevant to the modern reader; his ideas are inventive, his writing witty and... More > his lessons easily digested by those who would otherwise pre-judge a grown main with pink hair and wearing fairy wings.

The book, being non-denominational and not religious or "preachy" in any way makes a great gift for anyone in your life whose interests lie in navigating this world with a happy heart. < Less

Brilliant...evocative.. a page turner" or " hugs for the soul" These are cute catch phrases that should grace the cover, but the book offers so much more. It's a charming narrative of living, loving and embracing life. If you know John, you will hear his voice in each sentence. It doesn't take long before you recognize that voice as your own, leaving you dumbfounded that he can express, in words, what you might be thinking. This book is chock full of psychological, historical, spiritual and cultural references delivered in light, comedic and yet compelling manner that will inspire without weighing you down with dogma. I promise you that there is no other book that will... More > discuss Bill Murray and Eckhart Tolle in the same sentence. John is a "lifestyle artist" and purchasing this book is a great way to support art. More than just a bargain for a collection of insightful essays, the purchase of this book provides John future opportunity to enrich our lives with his gifts. That, my friend, is what I call a great investment. < Less
