Rob wants something different out of life, and is willing to do anything to get it.
The day before Thanksgiving, he offers to trade families with a stranger named Dick. That day, his life begins and ends all at once.
Modern Man is a story with a profound social message obscured by a magnitude of ignorance and obscenity.
This is a hilarious look at what all men, married and single alike, might be thinking in the back of their minds, and what they might do without the common sense to restrain themselves. The author did an amazing job at making the reader feel for Rob, even as he makes one bad decision after another.
I found myself laughing out loud numerous times and during one particular chapter had to put the book down to wipe away tears and catch my breath. This is an insightful, gloriously filthy book that should be required reading for any 30-something.
Review by Judi Tompkins This book is the ultimate "What if...." The writing is clean, the plot is not. This is soft porn at it's best. More > hell of a ride that will leave the reader laughing and cringing at the same time on many occasions. If nothing else, this book will leave you thinking "oh, so THAT's what would happen if I did the exact opposite of what society says I should do in every situation possible!" A fantastic satire. < Less
