Thank you for your story. My journey for healing has just begun. The abuse that I suffered from not only my father but also my stepfather has all but ruined my life. I have "coped" with this for over 45 years. When I went thru menopause that all changed. This has affected my personal life (my husband cannot deal with this any longer and is contemplating a divorce), my professional life, and my spiritual life. I have see numerous therapists and been on numerous drugs to no avail. I have been diagnosed with PTSD, Bi Polar, Manic Depressant. I can barely watch TV without one of my "triggers" sending me into a panic. I have recently starting seeing a new therapist that specializes in Hypnosis for incest. I am hoping this will elevate the images that now constantly haunt my everyday existence.

I am truly blessed to be able to say that I found my way through the dark places with the help of a wonderful husband, a terrific therapist, loving sisters, and caring friends. While I hope that no one else would have to endure what I did, I know the sad truth is that there are others who have been subjected to such awful treatment. My prayer is that they will know they are not alone and will find the courage to keep moving forward ... there really can be better days ahead.

Well...the awful truth is difficult to admit to family,friends and strangers. But you did and hopes are your story will prevent other young children from experiencing your tragedy. This book is well written in telling the complete story from beginning to the healing. Thanks
