Prentice Beverly has done a great service to parents, student atheletes, coaches and school administrators in writing and publishing this book. In my opinion, it is a MUST READ that gives you and indepth view of the nuances of college recruting. Mr. Beverly obviously took great measure in detailing how young atheletes should "self appraise" their true talents to gauge what level of school (DIV I or II or NAIA) they should pursue a scholarship from. It is a very suscint and realistic guide that should be a mandatory read for all engaged in high school atheletics. His bold honesty will not only spare the young... I say him/her because, though the book is written for "women's basketball" I believe it is important for ALL young student atheletes no matter what their particular sport may be. Good on ya Mr. Beverly! I hope this book is bought and distributed to all high schools and those reading it "read and heed". As a parent of a young athelete, I wish I had seen this when she was being recruited and settled on a college.
