"Breath-taking talent and heart-moving love...." ...shine through in this volumn of devotional tales dedicated to the heathen god Odin. The author takes you to the very beginning of Odin's life (little baby Odin! awwww), as seen through the eyes of his mother, Bestla, to his wooing of Gunnlod and winning back the Mead, to his sacrificing his eye into the Well of Mimir, to his gaining the runes on Yggdrasil. The tales are woven through with the pain of experience, the warmth of love, and the excitement of ecstasy.

It is exciting to see stories of the gods being told in fresh voices, to see myths handed down from our ancestors being retold by those who love and worship them now. This book is a treasure, and anyone who loves the Old Man should add this to their library. I can't wait to see what else Laure has to offer us!
