This book is a credit to the author and the modern Odinist renewal. Highly recommended.

For years as an Odinist/Asatruar all I ever saw come out of our community were books on rituals and runes, which just get old after a while. I knew we could do better than that, and that we would eventually break the mold to advance our religion further. Osred has certainly done an excellent job of doing this, and has truly created a unique and marvelous text for all of us to use as we present our ideals to outsiders.

There are some excellent points here on how Odinism relates to science and how we can believe in the modern world. But, in my opinion, by far the greatest contribution is the well-researched history of our faith and the conflicts it has faced over the centuries. From the... More > Christian invasions to today, this book should be taught to our children in classrooms as the TRUE history of our folk!

I did have some issues with the final chapter of the work, which I felt left things on a bit of a negative note, but this in no way diminishes the excellence found in the previous pages. We all need to own this book, and begin using these facts to show people the truth and break away from the lies and misconceptions that have been allowed to proliferate for far too long. Buy this book, teach its contents to your children, and tell others about it! You will not be disapointed. < Less
