This is the phonics workbook described on the OnTrack Reading website (www.ontrackreading.com) that is used when teaching the Advanced Code. Instructions for using this workbook can be purchased here at lulu.com as either print book or an e-book. Together, the instructions and the workbook constitute a complete advanced code phonics program at an exceptionally low price.
The OnTrack Reading phonics curriculum will build blending, segmenting and phoneme manipulation skills while teaching all of the common spellings of English sounds and their overlap options. In addition, the curriculum teaches how to methodically decode 2, 3 and 4 syllable words chunk by chunk using a method so easy to implement that it encourages students to quit guessing at unfamiliar words. The workbook has been extensively field tested by the author and the instructions are comprehensive.

" On Track Reading Advanced Code Workbook"
I have been using Rod Everson's books with two students since June, and have started another student last month on the On Track Advanced Code Reading Program. I am a retired teacher and am now doing in home tutoring. These curriculum materials have been a miracle for my two students. They have improved a grade level in their reading skills. My new first grader has taken to the program in just a few weeks, and both her teacher and parents are thanking me for teaching her how to read. Mr. Everson has written an outstanding curriculum. I have been so fortunate to have discovered the Advanced Code Workbook and Workbook Instructions. The program has made my tutoring such a joy and a success. I will continue to order these books for my students who need help with phonics and reading.

I used Rod Everson’s Advanced Code Workbook to jumpstart my daughter’s reading. His approach is very easy for parents to use -- brilliantly simple, logical and straightforward, and it produced effective results after we’d tried a number of popular reading methods without seeing any change.
