"Well Presented Book!" I think your book is very well written, from what I saw of the preview.

"Cruising ...." I grew up in the "Love Boat" generation which left an indelible impression of the cruise ship as the ultimate vacation. Permanent Passenger was a satisfying read, as Micha Berman's experience as Activities Director revealed the inner workings of the cruise experience, that no passenger would have access to otherwise. His writing was engaging; I was a fellow traveler with him at every episode -- enjoying the erstwhile efforts of the crew to make it all come together on the type of voyage I've never actually taken myself. Thanks, Micha, for giving me a chance to be on the Love Boat!!!

After going on a cruise, I was very interested in what the day in the life of the crew was like. I got the book from the library and was very impressed with the steps that he took to get the job. After a few chapters, I found myself telling my 12 year old son that if you want something bad enough, you have to work very hard to achieve it. As I got towards the end of the book my feelings changed as I realized that he was just plain lazy. He did the work to get the job, than felt "entitlement" as if the rules to not apply to him. My next conversation with my son was about keeping up the level of ambition after you get your dream job. A good read, but certainly not a good role model!!!!
