"Rhythms of Change"
As a Christian Music Writer, Producer, Arranger, and Worship Leader, as well as the Director of Layman Lessons Ministries, I am involved with all types of Christian Churches in America.

Every Christian who Worships needs to buy and read this book, not only for themselves, but for the corporate component they bring as well to the Worship experience, both private and public. This is a terrific, much needed book!

Chuck illuminates the real purpose of Music in Worship so clearly, yet also as deeply as one wants to go. Chuck's decades of Music Mastery is rare and unique, in that Chuck knows all styles and types of music, from the Classical he was trained... More > in, to free flowing Jazz, from the Classic Hymns to the Contemporary Christian Music. Chuck knows music.

Worship music style is not about the selfish older folks who gripe about the "new style of music" and prefer singing only the hymns of their past. Worship is not about the selfish younger people who make fun of the "older folks" and prefer singing only the latest and greatest contemporary music.

Rhythms of Change is about bringing us all together to enjoy Music, Worship music in particular, so we focus on keeping the main thing the main thing...Praise, Honor, Glorify God! Worship Music is not about what WE like or dislike, it is about what GOD likes or may dislike...and He likes it all! Chuck opens the eyes of our hearts to see what God wants from our Worship Music, and how Change is a good thing.

Well done Chuck Mandt! I am recommending this book to all.

"Email from Kevin Bales " Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the email! I really enjoyed reading your book; James has a copy at the Piano Outlet, and it's been on my mind to try to get in touch with you. I particularly liked the way you compared swing with the heartbeat vs. the more mechanical sound of some other rhythms. I've used many other analogies to try to explain the naturalness of swing/groove, and now I'm using yours.

I hope to hear you play sometime, and meet you.

Thank you,
Kevin Bales

"great Job Chuck" I got your book and read it last nite. Its a great presentation of several themes and ideas all rolled into one (or as you say gazinta one). I hope that others will appreciate what great truths are there hiding in the story. Its pretty close to what really happens in a church. I have been thru this twice at 2 different churches and one was destroyed and the other flourished.
You de man. Thanks for all your efforts in that I know that book was a LOT of work.
Thanks for letting me learn from you. We are all a part of the people we come in contact with.
