"Roland" Roland is a genuine certified lunatic. He takes every mental prescription drug imaginable, has frequent chats with imaginary characters (robots, the leering skull of all things evil, the usual...) and even gets into an epic (hallucinogenic) fight with the four horsemen of the apocalypse. But at the same time, this nutter does a lot of things we would all like to do. It's just that for most of us, these things are at the bottom of our priority list. Most of us could found an orphanage in a poor country. It's not that expensive. He actually did it, from a janitor's salary. So this isn't just a story about a nutjob running around having crazy drug-induced imaginary adventures (at least not all the time). It's also a story with a look at the modern world that will really surprise you. A look that's compassionate, funny, moving and at times just plain cool. Roland left me a changed person after I read it.
I loved it!
