"Delightful Book!" The author shares her Peace Corps experiences of Romania in a series of letters that are touching, insightful and humorous. It is very interesting to hear how she coped with the cultural differences between her mid-western, home town of Kansas City and the rual, primitive, village of Bran nestled in the Carpathian Mountains of Transylvannia.

You will laugh as the author recounts the adventures of her pet, Vlad the Wonder Cat and her adjustments to a lifestyle and language very different than her own; feel her frustrations and rewards of working and living as a Peace Corps volunteer; and learn a little about the history and the interesting culture of another part of the world steeped in traditions and superstitions. All in all, this book is a delightful read.
