"A Departure, but not from quality"
For those new to the works of this great Wordsmith, then you'll have to pardon me for reviewing from the vantage point of knowing some of Gopal's works to date.This a is a surprising but delightful departure from Gopal's usual style, where ironically through Metaphor,you can almost smell the roses, and the Jasmine, in his own back garden. You don't quite get that with this collection, but nor are you meant to, for it is more Universal. These are musings on life and culture but in a Cosmopolitan style, which we can easily identify with, where much of the verse is literal musing, but still poetic, and of the highest quality.
