I loved this book. Yes, at 84 pages it is short but that said short can sometimes be better than long when dealing with things in this area. The title can lead people to maybe expect a short story with some cute little spells inter mingled. However, the author worked to not overwhelm readers that may not have any clue about spells or the workings or magic and that's a good thing. I've read 'basic' or 'simple' books in spells or related topics that lose the reader by page five. This wasn't the case. I followed along easily and while I don't expect readers to go out and actually attempt the spells listed or explained, readers with more than a basic interest could do just that. I found many of them more like the folk healing or things that my great grandmother would often talk about from when she was a girl and that was refreshing for me. So if anyone wants a fun, quick read, pick this up and see if you decide to try something on the next Solstice or Halloween night
