"An Important Heirloom" Half way through this book I experienced the knowing that this book is an important heirloom for those interested in helping to create a just world. The research, the annotations and bibliography helped to catapult me into the real world of historical dissection. Goff's style of writing at times includes humor and satire that make the heavy, key information not only easier to take, but easier to take in. I recommend it to all my family and most of those I know. Power to the women of color and the youth and the intellectuals and all workers, and people who find and read this vital work.

"Fascinating and important" Goff's book is simply the most interesting book I've read in years, and maybe the most important book I've ever read. Pulling together ideas from disparate sources, Goff argues for a new way of looking at gender, capitalism, and patriarchy, and he uses his experiences in Special Forces to illustrate his views. On virtually every page I found something surprising and of high value. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand how we got to where we are and how to get to where we need to be. I bought ten copies to give to friends and family.
