"Evil Indeed!" I recently ordered this title for a friend who enjoys Sudoku (my former boss, actually, so you can think of this as revenge). About a week after I gave her the book, I received an email containing this excerpt: "[...] here's the lowdown... Those puzzles are evil and foul!! I thought I was good, until I tried them. I'm having a little trouble understanding the solving techniques but I'm sure that it has to do with me and not the explanations. ;-) I never realized there was so much to consider and so many ways to go about solving, I've always just attacked. "I can assure you it will be with me for quite a long time. I always keep a sudoko puzzle close by and I really like how this one is bound. I makes working on even numbered pages much easier. "So every time I pull out another hair, ummm... I mean, work on one of these puzzles, I will think of you." If the intent was to confound Sudoku enthusiasts, I'd say the author has gone above and beyond the call of duty.

"Excellent Book" I am one of the top Sudoku players in UK. I bought this book because I wanted to develop better techniques for the endgame of the hardest competition puzzles.
It is not for beginners because it skips over all the basic and intermediate techniques. But it was excellent for my purpose. I found that the explanations of the techniques were OK. But the great thing was having 150 puzzles to try and then, if you get stuck, the step-by-step solutions to get you moving again. Now I have to try to develop ways of doing the techniques quickly, because the book doesn't address this aspect.
