Enjoyed reading Summer of Sunflowers very much. The author did a great job of describing the land and people such that you are quickly immersed into the reservation world. The story moves quickly along. You'll quickly come to like Grandma. This book is good for teens through adults. A fine first effort by the Author.

Loved the book! Very enjoyable read. This book gives much insight into what life is like for a modern day Native American, struggling to navigate through the complexities that arise from trying to live somewhere between tradition and modernity. A light, yet engaging read.

I enjoyed reading about Shannon and her grandmother. The scenes were very descriptive and just the right amount of tears and laughter. I recommend it for the young and old. Great job!
