"Thanks For The $5 Memory Trip"
Just ordered and read this as a PDF. Paid through Paypal and got to download it instantly. No problemo.

I'm about the same age as Wil so I kind of grew up with him. He was my haunting shadow in Hollywood - I always felt like he was a friend somehow, just far away. I always wondered what it would be like to know him better. "Fat chance!" I would think. This morning I happened upon his blog, which was a cool surprise, then discovered there that he's written books! What a cool opportunity to get to know him better and hear some stories from his life.

This was a great sampler, and I look forward to reading his other books. It was... More > great to get to know him a little more. I really respect the way he has remained human and survived the hell teen years of child actors. I can't believe how mean some people are toward him - it's obvious jealousy. Just ugly.

I really liked how honest he was about the difficulty of leaving Star Trek. I've been through similar loses of Great Times, and he described the feelings vividly. I'd love to read more about his Star Trek days. Going to check out his other books NOW. Thanks Wil!

"That Cocoa is Delicious"
Wil Wheaton's Sunken Treasure is a miniature ball of goodness, wrapped in nostalgia, heated in the oven of experience, until its center is pleasantly warm and moist. The majority of the works here are reproduced, hence the sampler part of the subtitle, however, don't let that put you off, the attention that Mr. Wheaton puts into each story makes them seem as fresh on the twenty-fifth reading as they are on the first.

There's something for every slice of geekdom in Sunken Treasure. From the video game fanboys and girls, to the legions of Star Trek and Star Wars fandom; the drama club kids, to the Roleplaying game... More > enthusiasts, everyone is represented.

At 90 pages long and beautifully, simply, written; the pages of Sunken Treasure fly by, making the time investment required to enjoy this treasure minimal. For anyone looking to jump on the Wil Wheaton train this is perfect station to get on at. The only unfortunate thing about Treasure is that once you finish it you'll feel an overwhelming urge to consume other Wheaton works, Just a Geek, Dancing Barefoot, and The Happiest Days of Our Lives. Frankly, I envy new readers the journey they are about to take and look forward to whatever Wheaton produces next. < Less

"Beautifully written; left me wanting more!" If you've never read anything Wil's written, this is a perfect place to start!!!
If you've read everything he's ever written, you will love this bite-sized portion!!!
The stories had such a range! I cried, laughed, hoped, and smiled more than I've had an excuse to do in a while!
My only complaint and first thought after finishing it was that it was over too soon... which prompted me to go find other stuff Wil's written! After you read it, you will too!!!

"Treasure of the Highest Order"
Thirteen dollars is roughly the price of a movie ticket in one of the major markets. When you factor in parking, snacks, the dollar you have to put into that crane game even though it's fixed, that thirteen dollars could turn into fifty. That's just for two hours of entertainment. Might I offer a suggestion for a better thirteen-dollar solution?

"Sunken Treasure: Wil Wheaton's Hot Cocoa Box Sampler."

For the price of one movie ticket, and none of the hassle, one can have more enjoyment than your typical Hollywood film. If you're like me, you'll finish the whole thing in about two hours, and by the end you'll feel enormously... More > satisfied. There's something in here for everyone: fathers, writers, aspiring actors, aspiring film-makers, Star Trek fans, video game fans, music fans, fans of poker-related comedy, nostalgia addicts, and anyone who's ever looked for the best in life.

Mr. Wheaton constructs his pieces with an unrestricted glee, the incredible tenor of a man who loves what he does, and wants to impart that same joy onto the reader. What's more, he writes with such a clear voice that you can hear him in your head with every phrase and wording; there is not a moment in this book which is phony, constructed, or aping of another writer's style. "Sunken Treasure" is like having a conversation with the man, and when the book concludes after a discussion of his guest-starring role on Criminal Minds you'll want even more.

With "Sunken Treasure," Mr. Wheaton has constructed something unique and wonderful. I'm sure I will be revisiting these pieces well after I've gotten my fifteen bucks worth out of them, and I know I'll be picking up whatever he writes next. < Less

"Sunken Treasure - Great Discovery" Okay, so I squealed like the total girl geek that I proudly am,when my copy of SUNKEN TREASURE came in the mail yesterday. As I have come to expect (no pressure Wil), I was not disappointed. This is a TOTALLY AWESOME book! I have read all of Wil's books and have the audio book of THDOOL (will soon get JUST A GEEK); Wil is in my top 5 list of writer's who's work I have to get as soon as it is published. He is the GEEK version of Neil Gaiman (who I also LOVE) for me. There isn't a sluggish piece in the entire book. My personal favorite's are ' YOU'RE GONNA BE A GREAT WRITER... ',' SEE A LITTLE LIGHT 'and ' SEAT WITH THE CLEAREST VIEW '. SUNKEN TREASURE is filled with magical gems - I LOVE IT !!!! THANKS WIL.
