This is a new edition of a collection first published by Mystic Toad Press, which reprints stories from Fading Shadow's "Double Danger Tales" zine, which focused on new pulp heroes or new stories of classic pulp heroes in the public domain.

I wish they had indicated what issues these stories had appeared. Since they didn't, here is the info.

"Monarch of the Flame Madness" by Maxentius Andor Scarlatti appeared in DDT #14 & 15. It stars The Tarantula, a character in the style of The Spider.

"Crimson Harvest" by Therese Drippe & Tom Johnson appared in DDT #31. It stars The Black Bat, a classic pulp hero.

"The Grey Monk's Justice" by John L.... More > French appeared in DDT #44. It stars The Grey Monk, a character in style with the Shadow. Unlike most new hero pulps, this one is set in modern times.

"Lunar League" by Lance Curry appeared in DDT #41. It had the classic pulp hero Secret Agent X going after anothe classic pulp hero, the Moon Man.

"Doc Atlas: Gorilla Killer" by Michael Black appeared in DDT #16. It starts Black's Doc Savage pastiche, Doc Atlas.

"Hunter's Moon" by Debra Delorme & Tom Johnson appeared in DDT #20. It pits Debra's The Scarecrow againt Johnson's The Black Ghost.

"The Night Hawk" by Will Murray appeared in DDT #50. It stars Murray's Night Hawk.

There are 2 more collections, both still available from Mystic Toad Press. < Less
