It is difficult to find any kind of books, much less, any book written by dedicated and currently practicing, modern chaos (Xaos) magicians. Phil Hine and Peter Carroll laid good groundwork for applying theory to real life, but there has been a large gap between those works and the progress in the current.
The Assault on Reality: A Field Manual for the Strange Psyche chronicles some personal rituals - like the Nightmare Mass - that lays aside the BS and opens the Self to the Self mercilessly and directly confrontational in order to exercise one's Will over one's Reality. The works therein continuously lends individual and real testimonies of testing and conquering the limitations of the... More > modern world, and those self-imposed, as in the Chelsea Working: a cross-country experiment conducted between practitioners who realized and manifested real results. Some may call it madness, but most pioneers earn such titles. There is no fluffiness here. Only those who wish to tear aside the mask and suck the sweet marrow of Xaos - that from which all things have come.

The Walrus wants YOU for the Assault on Reality!
Are you ready?

This book is retarded. DO NOT LET THE ABOVE BLURB MISLEAD YOU. I have been following the rituals and philosophies for three months, forsaking my family, my work, my mistress (indeed, all forms of sexual gratification) amd have yet to metamorphose into a kaleidoscope. Rip off.

I want to be strictly honest in my critique, here. This is nothing personal, I hope you realize this, but the idea that people will actually pay for this drivel has just ruined my life. The thing I wanted to point out is this. Being as nonsensical as this does not make you look wise, it makes you look like you're spouting off a lot of bull and makes you look like an idiot. It is not something to be proud of. On the other hand, you seem to have a good grasp of the hardware of the English language. This is good. Now all you need is something worth writing about. Sincerely, Erica.

Having read the review, I find this book to get 2 stars of nuttbaggery. Anyone who would swallow this crap deserves the loss of the ridiculous price placed on this tripe...It IS, after all, morally wrong to allow a sucker to keep his money. My hat is off to the author, who is obviously a descendant of PT Barnum. Rock on, sir.

"My review" After going through this book, I must say that a person should get it only if they wish to change themselves and the world around them. If you are content with your life as it is now, then more power to you, but this will open your eyes to something different and new. Like a breath of fresh air. I recommend it for everyone, from magic users and preachers to little kids and teachers.
