This is a great book, too bad I did not start with it before we installed LightSpeed. That would have made things a lot better. I must admit Im not much of a reader, I like pictures. This book has lots of pictures to show you what exactly you should be looking at in LightSpeed. It is well laid out and easy to follow. It also makes a great training manual for all new employees. We just highlight the pages that are important to procedures in work flows.

If you are starting a business for the first time the book will teach you the proper work flows for just about any business. Most business owners are not accountants, and accounting can be very dry to understand. The book explains it really... More >well. I would suggest hiring a professional bookkeeper to keep you out of trouble with the government though.

The bottom line. This is a must have book that is a lot more then just a manual, and goes well beyond the materials on Xsilva's web site. The author has done a great job at covering everything you would need to know in setting up and running LightSpeed as well as real work flows. < Less

Dont bother with this book. It is usless and a total rip off. You can get better information with the training videos from xsilva.

This "book" has about 10 pages of useful information in it. If I wanted to read a novel, I would have purchased one of interest. This book is written as though a person is speaking to me- and can't get to the point for 300 pages. As a person who has just purchased lightspeed, I want a book that has information that is straight and to the point. I don't want a maze of anagrams and jumbles. Can someone please write a manual that is to the point and direct? The book is helpful- if you have the time and patience to read through it.

I have found this book very helpful in many situations. It's much more thorough and detailed then the training guides on XSilva's site. It's also helpful to have ideas explained in different words. I think the PDF format is great for doing very quick searches and also loading it up on my iPad in iBooks to read on the subway. Try to do that with XSilva's training site!
