It doesn't matter if you've never seen his web-series "Cute With Chris" or like myself, have never been fortunate enough to catch one of his live-shows, this is one book you should not be missing.

Every story is a wonderful trip through Mr. Leavins’ droll wit, which I thought to be not only funny, but also extremely well penned.

Most of this book is laugh out loud funny (I got a few stares in public) and while very few other parts just didn't quite hit the mark, it's just fine. The thing I like about this book is that it seems like Chris Leavins wasn't trying to be funny. I almost got the impression that he was just writing down a number of very strange thoughts that were... More > interesting to him, many of which happened to be funny. The result is a good, amusing, and in my opinion absolutely unique read.

My only regret is that is was so short I finished it in three sittings. :( Howerver, another great thing about the book is it's re-readability! (If that's a word...) I'll re-read this over and over again when I need a quick pick-me-up. BUY THIS BOOK, it's worth every penny. :) < Less

I bought this because I loved Chris' live shows and podcast and I wasn't disappointed. The stories are longer yet still resonate with the touching truth and dry wit of their writer. What surprised me was my boyfriend, who was always "too good" for Chris as an internet star, can't get enough of it in book form. I guess the medium is the message and the message is that Chris Leavins sure knows how to tell a good story.

Loved this book. Funny, thoughtful, sometimes poignant. And funny. Did I mention funny?

Show business is hell. It doesn't take a hamster to know this. I was the only person on the subway reading The Captain. People thought I was laughing at them. Read this in public. Get funny looks.
