Climate is changing, natural disasters like earthquakes are increasing. What is the reason? It’s not easy to present new ideas to the world especially if they fly in the face of entrenched belief systems concerning mythology and its sister science astrology. But this is exactly what Susan Seymour Hedke has done with her new book The Galactic Centre 2012.

With so many books and films on 2012 in the market place, coupled with the hype of doom and gloom with the world coming to an end, the message that Hedke is providing the reader may at first glance seem to fall into the same category. I am not saying there is no mention of disasters in her book, on the contrary, her book is all about disasters... More > from the beginning of time to the present day complete with documented accounts of the largest earthquakes, floods and volcanoes. However, what Hedke has done with her keen insight and scientific observation is to show how the positioning of the planets coincides with those disasters on earth. But Hedke, unlike any other astrologer who have preceded her, is to include in her readings an element that has been over looked by just about all the other astrologers when it comes to considering how one should read the significance of these planetary positions and their relationship to natural events on earth.

That element was brought to Hedke’s attention right after the Tsunami of Dec. 26, 2004 off the coast of Sumatra. It was at this time Hedke looked more closely at the positioning of the planets and experienced, and for lack of a better explanation, an astrological epiphany. That overwhelming experience came about as a result of making an association of where the galactic center was in respect to the other planets and it was this hunch that set her on a global research project looking to see if a similar pattern existed when other disasters took place. They did, and this led Hedke into developing a whole new astrological interpretation based on integrating the galactic center into the planetary chart, i.e. galactic center based astrology.

This one fact alone sets Hedke’s astrological interpretation leagues apart from traditional based astrology, tropical, into what is called sidereal astrology, an astrology which incorporates constellations more than it does locating stars in fixed houses. In ancient times when there was no difference between astronomy and astrology it was the constellations which spoke to the ancient seers and sages. These ancient ancestors told a multitude of stories explaining events on earth and using the stars as reminders they re told those stories for generations to come. It’s those stories we call myths today and it’s those very myths that Hedke has unlocked in her book bringing to light a whole new interpretation of our stories of floods or the churning of the ocean with the tail of a serpent. From personal epiphany about astrology to a whole new interpretation of mythology Hedke has fused two of the oldest sciences known to man and pierced through all their vagaries only to create an artistic and scientific rendition of our past so complete that we can now see our life today as a fulfillment of all those ancient prophesies which came before.

After a few years of constant research on al past disaster recorded in human history Hedke had found an amazing correlation between the position of the galactic center with the twelve houses of the astrological chart. The book is essentially divided into two parts. The second part is an exhaustive investigation of analyzing all disasters with numerous astrological charts showing the correlation with galactic center.

The first part of the book reveals an astonishing discovery by Hedke, which is developed with a step by step process interpreting all the myths from around the world showing how the symbolism of each of those myths were used to describe events that took place on the earth complete with her own art work to depict more clearly her investigations and her rationale. Part I of the book is a complete historical account of how the Chinese used their understanding of ancient star charts to invent the I-Ching describing how the forces of nature work today as well as thousands of years ago.

It is at this point in Hedke’s story telling of ancient myths that she shows how these myths have a cyclical nature and what happened thirteen thousand years ago is about to happen again. Hedke’s understanding of mythology is extremely comprehensive blending and integrating all the myths as well as the symbolism associated with each culture to weave an overarching analysis which bridges the ancient past with the future.

Punctuating her narrative is also the inclusion of other lesser known researchers who have essentially seen the same associations that Hedke has independently discovered. The relationship between the cycles of heaven with earth’s natural disasters is the message Hedke is offering to the world. Using scientific charts demonstrating frequency and magnitudes of earthquakes the reader is left wondering when the next cataclysm is going to take place. Her accuracy in predicting earthquakes is unequaled including the recent 7 point Haitian earthquake.

After reading Hedke’s entire thesis one cannot look at history in quite the same way because embedded in all the cultural icons lies a message of a time when myths of floods as well as mountains falling into the sea destroying continents and civilizations leaves an eerie sense that we are about to experience our ancient past once again with an Atlantis rising from the sea with a Mt. Meru spouting forth a super plume of red hot lava obliterating the skies completing the myth of the eternal return which has been foretold in so many hundreds of ways. < Less
