"Charming and Exuberant "
A tender intimacy, a certain sense or humor, a pinch of nostalgia: Rebecca Hannon's Catalogue has all the characteristics of her jewelry. The book gives you a hint, from which her exuberant forms and typical style derive: she leads you to the Bavarian areas with the typical baroque houses and churches with colorful paintings. She takes you on the "Camino de Santiago" she traveled along and fell in love. She presents you her brooches from both sides - and always the back is as charming as the front - a hidden treasure. Her materials are extraordinary: she cuts leaves and flowers from latex, she shapes glamorous drops and circles with CDs´, she creates graceful... More > fragile necklaces with silicon-strings, she forms flowery reliefs' into Fimo – appearing like precious, antique marble. For Rebecca Hannon, to ornament oneself is more than a woman´ s narcissistic ritual. In fact, it bears always the possibility to play with your identity and: you can get into an exceptional communication without words. A communication with yourself and with your environment. Rebecca's jewelry has both, a presentiment of a fateful affair and the longing for a tremendous symbiosis. For this the catalogue is an extraordinary present as well as her jewelry.
